In an increasingly complex Higher Education landscape, outstanding risk management is becoming more important than ever. In recognition of this growing significance, the University of Leeds is seeking to appoint its first ever Director of Risk Management. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, consult and advise at the highest levels in a circa £700m turnover organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support the development of the University’s risk appetite and risk management strategy and be responsible for developing and coordinating its execution, incorporating both a proactive and collaborative approach to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. In so doing, you will ensure an efficient and effective risk management framework is guiding the University to achieve its strategic ambitions.
The University of Leeds is seeking an outstanding individual to be the inaugural Director of Risk Management. With a relevant professional qualification and degree, you will be an experienced risk manager, with a proven track record in identifying key strategic risks and developing robust mitigation plans. The ability to confidently and effectively engage with peers at a senior level is essential. As an inspiring leader, you will have the ability to influence the University Executive Group agenda through experience and knowledge of best practice risk and governance frameworks.
