Senior Internal Auditor

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) is recruiting on behalf of one of the leading practice firms for a Senior Internal Auditor.  The role would be working within the public sector internal audit team which is led by a very impressive Partner and Director. 

Whilst the team is already sizeable, it continues to grow, and as such they seek a skilled internal auditor who can support and drive this growth. With time, there will be the opportunity to develop and manage your own portfolio.

key responsibilities

·        Conduct audits from initial planning through to reporting;

·        Apply internal control concepts and developing appropriate testing approaches

·        Understand the financial, operational, and compliance risks which effect activities

·        Coach and develop more junior members of the team.

A full accounting or audit qualification is sought (ACA/ACCA/CMIIA/CCAB) and ideally experience within the public sector, whether in-house or from within a practice firm.  Those with a background in external audit with some exposure to internal audit are also encouraged to apply.
