The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company has been mandated by a Midlands based building society on a Senior Prudential and Treasury Risk Manager position. The role will be a 12 month FTC. Our client’s risk function has grown rapidly and you will be joining in a time of comprehensive transformation. This is a senior position and the successful candidate will be reporting directly in to the CRO. The Senior Prudential and Treasury Risk Manager will provide oversight over all matters relating to Treasury and Prudential Risk and will have regular interaction with senior management, including the Executive Directors.
The role is paying circa 80k + bonus + package
Core responsibilities
- Liaise with the 1st line Finance and Treasury teams managing any concerns in regards to relevant policies.
- Oversee responsibility for Prudential / Treasury Risk Appetite Statements making sure that they fall within the risk appetite set by the board.
- Help prepare the firms ICAAP, ILAAP and other regulatory documents.
- Implement strategies to help ensure Senior Management are constantly aware/updated of any changes to the risk profile of the firm’s treasury operations / prudential forecasts.
- Oversee responsibility for Prudential / Treasury Risk Appetite Statements making sure that they fall within the risk appetite set by the board
Experience required:
- Thorough understanding of Prudential and Treasury Risks within Financial Services.
- Has demonstrable experience of having interpreted treasury and prudential regulations – especially those relating to liquidity, credit, capital and market risks.
- Able to easily form effective relationships with Senior Management and Stakeholders.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and their implementation.
- Experience of managing team members through risk-based reviews, including the setting of objectives, monitoring work outputs and developing skillsets and knowledge.
