Function content

You manage the employees of the Audit department. You are responsible for the efficient and effective organization of Audit & Risk and the investment and operating budget of the department. You monitor, analyze and advise on (administrative) control and risk management and report on this to the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board.

You identify solicited and unsolicited risks in the field of management and control. You ensure quality assurance, continuity of service, the required professionalism and compliance with C&C legislation and regulations and frameworks. You supervise the process during interim and annual audits and you support improvements to financial and administrative processes.

You are responsible for high quality of information provision to the Executive Board, themes and departments in the areas of audit and risk management. With regard to audit, you also ensure a high quality of information to the Supervisory Board and the Audit & Compliance Committee. Furthermore, you are ultimately responsible for conducting high-quality audits that are aimed at observing, recording, analyzing and optimizing / improving business processes.

The Control & Compliance (C&C) pillar is part of the Service Company. The Financial Management, Business Control, Audit and Legal Affairs departments fall under the C&C pillar.

The audit manager comes under the director of C&C, but has an independent position in the organization. There is therefore a direct line of professional content with the Executive Board and the Audit & Compliance Committee of the Supervisory Board.

Profile

You are an experienced RA / RO who is very capable of taking available information and valuing it. Judging is therefore a well-developed competence. Given the advisory role towards the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, independence and integrity are necessary competences. You are an inspiring, stimulating manager and you have a coaching style of leadership. You give substance to the position in a proactive, result-oriented and transparent manner. You have an open, constructive, relationship-oriented and also businesslike and cost-conscious attitude in the relationship with internal and external (business) partners. You are able to find the right balance between solving problems directly and the established policy for the longer term. You are strongly focused on cooperation and cohesion where customer focus and the delivery of quality have priority. You actively promote the core values ​​of 'responsible', 'connecting' and 'entrepreneurial' and you are an example for your employees in this. You are able to provide direction and focus on tasks and priorities. The submission of a Certificate of Good Behavior (VOG), a valid proof of identity, diplomas and / or relevant registrations such as BIG / RGS are a condition for the appointment.

What do we offer

We initially offer an appointment for the duration of one year. With proper functioning there is the possibility of a permanent appointment. The gross monthly salary, depending on education and experience, is a maximum of € 6,895 (scale 14) for a full working week of 36 hours. In addition, we also offer an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%, an individual travel expenses budget and study options. The employment conditions are in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for University Medical Centers (UMC).

Functie inhoud

Je geeft leiding aan de medewerkers van de afdeling Audit. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het efficiënt en effectief organiseren van Audit & Risk en het investerings- en exploitatiebudget van de afdeling. Je controleert, analyseert en adviseert over (administratieve) beheersing en risicomanagement en rapporteert hierover aan Raad van Bestuur en Raad van Toezicht.

Je signaleert gevraagd en ongevraagd risico's op het gebied van besturing en beheersing. Je zorgt voor kwaliteitsborging, continuïteit van de dienstverlening, de vereiste professionaliteit en compliance met C&C- wet- en regelgeving en kaders. Je begeleidt het proces bij interim- en jaarrekeningscontroles en ondersteunt verbeteringen van de financieel-administratieve processen.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor hoge kwaliteit van informatievoorziening aan de Raad van Bestuur, thema's en afdelingen op de gebieden van audit en risicomanagement. Voor wat betreft audit zorg je eveneens voor een hoge kwaliteit van informatievoorziening aan de Raad van Toezicht en de Audit & Compliance Commissie. Verder ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor het uivoeren van hoogwaardige audits die gericht zijn op het observeren, vastleggen, analyseren en optimaliseren/verbeteren van bedrijfsprocessen.

De pijler Control & Compliance (C&C) maakt deel uit van het Servicebedrijf. Onder de pijler C&C vallen de afdelingen Financieel Beheer, Business Control, Audit en Juridische Zaken.

De manager audit ressorteert onder de directeur C&C, maar heeft een onafhankelijke positie in de organisatie. Er is dan ook sprake van een directe vakinhoudelijke lijn met de Raad van Bestuur en de Audit & Compliance Commissie van de Raad van Toezicht.

Profiel

Je bent een ervaren RA/RO die zeer goed in staat is om beschikbare informatie tot zich te nemen en op waarde te schatten. Oordeelsvorming is dan ook een goed ontwikkelde competentie. Gegeven de adviesrol richting de Raad van Bestuur en de Raad van Toezicht, zijn onafhankelijkheid en integriteit noodzakelijke competenties. Je bent een inspirerende, stimulerende leidinggevende en hebt een coachende stijl van leidinggeven. Je geeft op proactieve, resultaatgerichte en transparante wijze invulling aan de functie. Je hebt een open, constructieve, op de relatie gerichte en tevens zakelijk en kostenbewuste houding in de relatie met in- en externe (zaken)partners. Je bent in staat om de juiste balans te vinden tussen het direct oplossen van problemen en het vastgestelde beleid voor de langere termijn. Je bent sterk gericht op samenwerking en samenhang waarbij klantgerichtheid en het leveren van kwaliteit prioriteit hebben. Wat bieden wij

We bieden in eerste instantie een aanstelling voor de duur van een jaar. Bij goed functioneren bestaat de mogelijkheid van een vaste aanstelling. Het bruto maandsalaris bedraagt, afhankelijk van opleiding en ervaring, maximaal € 6.895,- (schaal 14) bij een volledige werkweek van 36 uur. Daarnaast bieden wij onder andere een eindejaarsuitkering van 8,3%, een individueel reiskostenbudget en studiemogelijkheden. De arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn conform de CAO Universitair Medische Centra (UMC).
