In this important role, you will manage a small team responsible for all corporate operational, financial and performance reporting, and risk management functionality for Ofgem. By providing central scrutiny, challenge and analysis, you will ensure that Ofgem reporting is a holistic product that provides valuable decision-making intelligence and support for senior leadership. As a key point of contact and source of expertise for senior managers and different business functions across Ofgem, you will be perfectly placed to make a significant impact on budgeting, forward planning, risk management and performance measurement for the organisation.
We are looking for a strongly analytical thinker who can bring an exceptional understanding of operational performance measurement and reporting. You must hold a chartered qualification in Finance or Risk, or an equivalent track record in finance, business planning or risk within a complex or central government setting. An outstanding communicator and relationship manager, you will be able to influence, inform and engage, as well as having the credibility and judgement to lead and develop a high-performing team. Experience of change and performance management, or a background in the energy sector, would be a significant advantage.
