The Challenge 

  • Supporting the Risk and Assurance Manager to ensure a robust and systematic risk management and internal control framework is embedded across the company;
  • Support 1st Line risk owners in their identification, assessment and mitigation of key risks;
  • Develop and conduct a programme of 2nd Line risk and compliance deep dives and thematic reviews;
  • Monitor and report on the overall internal control framework;
  • Recommend and agree meaningful and value adding actions to improve the risk, control and compliance framework;
  • Undertake 2nd Line oversight testing and assurance reviews;
  • Provide periodic reporting for relevant forums and committees;
  • Support the production of the annual Risk Management Report;

What are we looking for in you?

  • Strong risk management and assurance experience, with/studying towards relevant risk or assurance / audit professional qualification(s), typically IIA, ACA, ACCA or IRM;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills to be able to effectively discuss review findings at all levels;
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
