For a project at our client‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Regulatory Risk Management Officer - Data Privacy (7135)

Please be aware that this is a role within a sensitive environment. You will have to undergo a background screening, which takes some additional time.

Your Qualifications:

  • Several years of relevant working experience in a bank, financial institution, or consultancy on cross-border legal topics 
  • Professional experience in the Legal and Data Protection field - GDPR familiarity a benefit
  • Specific and in-depth knowledge of Data Protection Laws as well as Technology Law
  • Solution and results-oriented with excellent project management skills and the ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously
  • Experience working in international teams comprised of professionals with diverse expertise and backgrounds
  • Committed team member with the dedication to deliver high-quality work within a short timeframe
  • Able to communicate efficiently and in ways appropriate to those being addressed in the interest of building up and maintaining a balanced professional network
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support on high existing workload with increasing number of regulatory related projects, as well as intensively complex data privacy and protection aspects 
  • Facilitation of finalization of urgent strategic projects and initiatives required
  • Ensure adherence to strict Swiss and other international banking secrecy, data protection, and employment law requirements and laws
  • Monitor and notify relevant stakeholders of changes in the law.  Assess impact, issue recommendations and inform accordingly to facilitate timely adoption of modifications necessary for compliance
  • Support with legal enablement for the implementation of a global waiver
  • Provide analytical support and strategic insights to align with cross-divisional stakeholders and partners to enable initiatives related to data erasure in a jurisdictionally specific, compliant manner
