Strategic Asset Allocation Manager

Salary: £70,000 - £160,000 per annum + competitive package

Location: Central London/Birmingham/Edinburgh (Going forward Home working dependant on COVID-19 restrictions)

Permanent, full-time


HFG has partnered with a FTSE 100 insurer who is looking for an Asset Strategy professional. The role is adaptable to homeworking or London/Edinburgh/Birmingham subject to how Covid continues.

The individual who has in depth experience of markets and multi-asset classes will lead the team in their research, analysis and forecasting to improve the strategic approach to managing assets. This is role provides opportunities for senior exposure so individual can progress in their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for diverse asset allocation
  • Delivering advice about asset management strategies for the company's Life policyholder funds
  • Communicating developments with the ALM team


Key requirements:

  • Strong knowledge over a variety of asset classes, financial markets
  • Qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Actuary (FIA) with relevant experience in investments
  • Strong experience of developing and implementing strategic asset allocation processes (modelling experience needed)
  • Insurance market experience
  • Understanding of ALM methodologies, With profits and unit linked asset funds preferred
