The Risk & Compliance directorate within this organisation is made up of the enterprise risk team, the compliance team, as well as the Information Security and Data Protection teams. This role sits within the second line function which provides consultancy services to the business. This role reports into the Head of Risk.
Description
Responsible for:
- Maintaining adequate control rationalisation, alignment and improvement, in order to support the regulatory framework
- Developing and delivering control reporting against governance frameworks
- Supporting the risk framework to ensure high quality standards are maintained
- Developing the risk framework against an evolving risk environment
- Reporting for the Executive Team/Trustee Members/Audit & Risk committees and Investment Board
- Liaising with the Executive Team and control owners to ensure the development of a strong internal controls framework
- Developing a strong working relationship with regulators to ensure fair and true compliance statements
Profile
- Relevant qualification ie ACA, IIA, IRM, ACCA
- Understanding of control frameworks
- Understanding of internal audit methodology
- Understanding of enterprise wide risk management
- Strong sense of accountability
- Team player
- Demonstrable ability to influence key stakeholders
- Useful but not essential:
- Prior role held in a government related department
- Understanding of pensions
