Central to our reputation is our Credit Risk department who directly contribute to our growth in the UK mortgage market. As a result of this growth and to take us from strength to strength, we are delighted to be able to offer a new opportunity to join Credit Risk within our Predictive Analytics team.

The successful individual will join the Forecasting team within Predictive Analytics, responsible for the design, development, documentation and implementation of forecasting and stress testing models, to meet regulatory and business requirements along with production and analysis of the results, i.e. capital, provision and losses forecasts under various economic scenarios. Moreover, the team gets involved in production of analysis and narrative to support the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) as well as testing the strategic plan against credit risk appetite. As part of this role you will be expected to build strong, working relationships within Credit Risk and Finance and present results to stakeholders by developing and delivering papers and presentations.

About You
In your current or previous roles you will have gained significant experience working with a high degree of autonomy in an analytical, but preferably modelling, environment ideally within Credit Risk or Finance. The ideal candidate will have experience of IRB capital and/or IFRS 9 ECL modelling, either from an actuals or forecasting perspective. You will be highly capable with a proactive and innovative approach, identifying opportunities and solutions that deliver incremental business benefit through the leveraging of data and analytics. You will have impressive inter-personal skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders, and excellent personal impact and influencing skills. The person we’re looking for will also have a proven track record of being able to communicate the results of their quantitative analysis, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner to a senior, non-technical audience.

You will be degree qualified (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and be experienced in using statistical packages such as SAS or their equivalent as well as having advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel.  Knowledge and experience of programming e.g. in SAS, SQL or VBA would therefore be essential.
