About The Role

As an Operational Risk Analyst you’ll be playing a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the Society’s Operational Risk Management Framework.
To do this you will need to:
- Be an expert on operational risk processes, being able to offer advice and train the business on its operation.
- Support the Operational Risk Business Partners in their oversight of operational risk.
- Analyse operational risk data to enhance framework and risk management effectiveness.
- Assist in the management of risk committees to ensure smooth and effective governance.
- Assist in regulatory reporting on Operational Risk.

About You
We need you to have a ‘can do’ attitude, ideally being able to identify and solve problems before others know they exist! You will also need to be personable, creative and enthusiastic, whilst also being adaptable, willing to learn and able to work on various items of work at once. It’s essential that you have a proactive mind-set, coupled with strong communication and analytical skills.
You’ll obviously need experience of working in operational risk management within financial services and a robust understanding of the best practices and regulatory requirements that apply. Equally key is the ability to apply this experience pragmatically to maintain a practical and effective Operational Risk Framework.
Having a risk related qualification or working towards would be an advantage.
