We’ve created the kind of workplace where you can make a difference. It’s somewhere you can put purpose ahead of profit. Where you can balance commerciality with conscience. Where you can focus on growing, developing, learning, and progressing. Where you can be your best. And where you can do the right thing - for you, your career, and your future.

We also encourage flexible working, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss flexible or reduced working hours. You will attend a monthly Retail and Credit Risk Committee, challenging proposals effectively to ensure all lending activity risks have been appropriately assessed, are within risk appetite and aligns with the Society’s strategy and purpose.

The role will give you a broad view of the organisation and the ability to see everything end to end in the credit risk management cycle.  You will be have opportunities to grow as a risk practitioner within an organization that has a clear social purpose.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring a detailed understanding of retail credit risk gained from working within a 1LoD or 2LoD role to enable you to challenge effectively. Along with a thorough understanding of credit risk management techniques and controls through all stages of the account life cycle.

You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable effective delivery of opinions either within a Committee environment or in written reports. You will poses  the ability to translate complex information in a clear and concise way, clearly articulating what the potential risks are and recommend appropriate solutions.

With a collaborative approach and strong communication and relationship building skills, you’ll be more than ready to engage and collaborate with colleagues at all levels. And you’ll have the commercial and regulatory awareness to make the kind of decisions that directly impact our business.

What’s in it for you

In return, we’ll reward you with a competitive salary and an annual bonus scheme. Not to mention a wide range of flexible benefits that you can take advantage of in and out of work. Then there’s our commitment to you and your career. We’re an exciting business, which means we offer lots of exciting career paths too.

And finally, you’ll be able to make the most of an incredibly diverse and inclusive culture. And it’s one we’re really proud of. In fact we’re passionate about making sure everyone is welcome - and we don’t think it will take long for you to feel like you belong here too.
