Job Description

esure Group are currently recruiting for a Risk Manager! The Risk Manager is responsible for the second line oversight of operational and financial risks within esure and ensuring the risk management framework is embedded within the business.

What you'll do:

Supporting the Head of Risk & Capital on running the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, including:

  • Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis
  • Risk Appetite, including ensuring fit for purpose
  • Emerging Risks
  • Annual and ad-hoc reporting to Board level committees

Day to day management for monitoring, maintaining, calculating and reporting standard formula SCR on a regular basis

2nd Line of Defence risk oversight and challenge for the business areas you support (incl. Finance; Actuarial; Pricing & Underwriting; and Claims), including:

  • Risk reviews reported to Exec level committees
  • PRA regulatory tracking, ensuring new requirements are embedded in the Group
  • Calling out key risks and issues
  • Providing guidance to the business on identifying and handling key risks, controls, metrics and issues
  • Providing input to Committee reporting
  • 2nd line control assessments
  • Undertaking investigations or producing specific reports on risk or control issues arising across the business
  • Experienced Administrator of the Xactium Risk System

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Significant experience in a risk, assurance or audit role with a strong analytical and financial background
  • Proven track record in relationship building and robust oversight and challenge of the 1st line
  • Solvency II and ORSA experience and understanding of risk quantification methodologies and tools
  • The ability to analyse large amounts of data and build succinct reports
  • Good understanding of the Financial Services or other regulated industry
