Senior IT Auditor

My client are a globally recognised corporation and are a FSTE listed organisation with operations spread across all corners of the UK.

Due to an internal promotion, we are assisting in the recruitment of an experienced Senior IT Auditor to join their global group audit team.

Reporting directly into the Head of IT Audit your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a full assigned programme of audits to quality standards and within allocated time, using professional judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
• Attending relevant project meetings and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in between audits to enable risks to be identified.
• Proactively look for areas of improvement during the audit process and provide value adding and insightful recommendations that address control and process opportunities and issues.
• Independently produce high quality reports (e.g. Summary of Issues, Draft and Final Audit Reports) that can be issued with minimal changes and reviews.
• Proactively maintain strong communication with the Head of IT Audit to highlight issues and avoid surprises.
• Lead regular planning and risk review meetings with assigned stakeholders to share themes from audits completed across the organisation and understand evolving risks and challenges to inform future audit coverage.
• Work with Digital Risk and Security to manage a portfolio of audit actions being worked on by IT and, upon completion, assess the effectiveness of activities undertaken to address the risks identified.

This is a full end to end delivery role. The successful applicant will have good knowledge and understanding of project methodologies, audit delivery and practices, internal control frameworks and risks management activities. You will be skilled in applying internal auditing principles and practices.

There will be significant stakeholder engagement and relationship management and so applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience with this.

The successful applicant will be CISA qualified (or similar) and will be keen to add value across the organisation. This person will have a keen risk mindset and be able to look at things through an "IT lens". A thorough and detailed understanding of risks and controls is essential and this will be tested at interview.

This organisation operate a hybrid working environment and the team work 1-2 days a week in the office. This person can choose to be based from either Bristol or Coventry.
