Internal Audit Manager - Prudential Risk & Finance 

This is an exciting role that will allow the successful candidate to build on existing Prudential Risk and Finance knowledge whilst aiding the Society in developing a robust Prudential Risk/ Finance control framework.

We encourage flexible working, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss flexible hours. Our Audit team are currently working from home with an effort to come into our Leeds head office once a week for collaboration. 
 

About the role

  • Working autonomously using your organizational skills to deliver audits. You will lead initial planning through to fieldwork and final reporting.
  • You will help shape the Internal Audit department through process improvement to create a high performing function.
  • Influencing key stakeholders to ensure robust, cost-effective controls and a strong Prudential Risk/ Finance control environment.
  • You will use existing prudential risk and finance experience to assess relevant controls and processes.
  • Leveraging off the support and development resources in the department to expand your technical and audit skills
     

About you

You will either be a current Internal Audit or Assurance professional or be in a first-line Finance/ Prudential Risk role, looking for a move into Internal Audit.

  • You will have proven experience of Finance/Prudential Risk.
  • First class project management and analytical skills. You will be able to demonstrate excellent business judgement.
  • You will have a comprehensive understanding of risk management and control.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and report writing experience.
  • You will have a track record of professional development and hold a relevant audit or finance qualification.
