My client is an established Financial Services provider with a Head Office in Birmingham. Due to the continued success of the business and subsequent growth of the Risk function they are currently recruiting for a Operational Risk Officer. Reporting to the Risk Manager your main responsibilities will include; To provide operational oversight and collaboration on policies and processes To lead on the quarterly risk assessment programme of business functions To maintain the suite of Risk Registers Ensure effective risk mitigation plans are collated and established Ensure a robust operational risk control framework is in place To provide business partnering support and risk oversight for management and their colleagues To provide a review and suggested updates of existing risk-related policies To lead on the upkeep of the risk-policy suite To support in the delivery of all Solvency II risk management requirements Undertake planning for assessments and audits for the year To maintain a working knowledge of, and practical application of best practice standards and frameworks Promote and actively develop the risk-aware culture. To perform all tasks and duties when required providing flexibility and covering a team working environment To comply with required obligations under the Company s data protection, information security and other relevant policies You will be a Risk professional with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will have worked within the Financial Services sector. Insurance experience is desirable, but not essential.
