As our Head of Risk & Assurance, you’ll take on a wide-ranging role that’s crucial to our organisation.

The role

We need to understand the risks faced by every area of ONR, from HR and Finance, to our Regulatory function. You’ll make sure they’re identified and managed, and provide assurances to the Board. Day to day, you’ll be an interface for internal audit delivery, Regulatory Assurance function outputs and our internal assurance deliverables, engaging with senior stakeholders and directing prompt, systematic reporting. A smart, strategic thinker, you’ll deliver complex assurance reviews and provide expert advice and guidance.

At ONR, the challenges we face are constantly evolving. Our approach to risk management must develop too, and you’ll be in charge of leading progress in our fast-paced organisation. Trusted and credible, you’ll influence at the highest levels to improve practice and processes. Leading your skilled team, you’ll balance expectations against corporate risks and make sound decisions.

The person

A senior audit professional, you’ll have the experience to deliver and steer risk management and assurance at ONR. With membership of a recognised audit body, you’ll bring best practice and proven technical expertise. You’ll combine this with excellent people skills, including a gift for leading teams and connecting with all kinds of people. In our highly supportive culture, you’ll thrive on collaboration and working as part of a team.

The rewards

We offer competitive salaries at the ONR, with this role attracting a salary of £68,572 - £79,070 plus an additional £4,052 London Weighting Allowance if applicable.
