A leading local mutual society in Cirencester (South Cerney), are now recruiting for someone to join them on their risk team as a Senior Risk & Compliance Officer. This business has experienced some impressive growth recently and have a leadership team in place to make sure this continues and have big plans for the future. They currently number 80 people in the business as a whole, so you will know most people there once you have settled in and be able to put a name to the face, and you will be working in a fantastic purpose-built office in South Cerney. Due to the very low turnover of staff, this is a rarely available career opportunity for someone career minded who wants to work for a business who offer first class training and development for all its staff as well as a stable and enjoyable working environment. They are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join them. Please note to be considered you MUST have your Risk CPD gained within the Financial Services industry and/or Compliance CPD gained within the Financial Services industry. You will also need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. You will be a key member of the Risk & Compliance Team, supporting the Head of Risk in the continuous improvement of embedding the Risk Management Framework in the Society and the Head of Compliance in ensuring the Society maintains compliance with existing and emerging regulatory rules and guidelines. Incidents & Breaches: Responsible for providing 2nd line support and challenge on all incidents reported by the business, ensuring the root cause of the incident has been identified and the business is offered guidance and support in reducing the risk of recurrence; evaluation in conjunction with the Head of Compliance, whether a regulatory breach has occurred; and generation of MI in relation to reported and resolved incidents and breaches. You will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Risk and Head of Compliance in further embedding the three lines of defence in the Society, via delivery of awareness training and providing Risk & Compliance Advice as required. Office hours are 8:45am to 5pm with an hour for lunch, and the salary on offer is circa GBP41-49k, depending on experience, with them offering hybrid working.
