Internal Controls Specialist

The Company

Fox Global Partners is currently recruiting for an Internal Controls Specialist to join a US based insurance company based in their Bermuda office. Our client has been a market leader in the US and Europe, having being a well know international brand within the insurance field. The Role

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will work closely with various lines of business to enhance and optimise our internal control environment.

Other key duties include

• Assess existing operational risk profiles to identify key controls
• Facilitate risk workshops to assess and document controls, including control objectives and testing steps
• Effectively communicate status and provide risk reporting to Head of Risk, Compliance and Risk managers and other key stakeholders
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders

Your Experience and Skills

You would ideally be a fully qualified accountant with experience gained in an accountancy practice, or alternatively within the insurance or financial services field. The ideal internal controls specialist will have –

• Experience with Assurance and Internal Audit
• Experience in process analysis and developing control documentation
• Knowledge of operational aspects of the insurance and financial services industries advantageous
• Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a consultative approach
• Initiative and ability to generate ideas resulting in continuous improvement
