About the role

In this role, your work will play a key role in the way financial sustainability and credit risk is managed. You’ll do this by taking ownership of the ongoing development, management and testing of the core models that the Society uses. This includes IRB, IFRS9, stress testing, climate risk and Credit Risk Scorecards among others.

Alongside your day to day delivery, you’ll always have an eye on regulatory compliance to ensure the teams models are aligned to this as well take responsibility for understanding upcoming regulatory change that could impact them.

While you’ll have no direct reports, this is a visible role within the team, and you’ll be expected to share your SME knowledge and support others with their development and help create a high performing team.

We work on a hybrid basis, with a degree of travel to the office. We are also happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.

About you

First and foremost, you’ll be an accomplished modeler and analyst gained from your studies and/or your extensive work experience. This’ll be coupled with;

  • Detailed understanding of one or more of IRB, IFRS9, Scorecards or Credit Risk Modelling
  • Knowledge of modelling requirements for product / project evaluation and an understanding of the requirements of the regulations relating to model development
  • A track record of delivering models within a business
  • A good awareness of the Financial Services industry and associated regulatory landscapes
